Case Study: From Fearful to an Aligned, Powerful, Sensitive Creative Website Launch

When I first talked with Lori, she made it clear just how much her dreams of starting a business and launching a website had been feeling just out of reach…for over 10, maybe 20??, years.

She even launched a website many years ago…

but fears of being visible online, overwhelm with the ongoing tech know-how required, and just life doing it’s thing, caused the website hosting to lapse and the website was abandoned.

Lori came to me with a dream. And I was so beyond honored to join her in that dream.

What I’ve come to really learn about myself, and timidly step into, this year has been embracing some of my strengths as a “manifestor” in Human Design.

I don’t really know much about Human Design. But as a “manifestor,” a lot of sources say that may power and gifts often lie in getting things started.

To kind of pave the way for others.

I see design - especially in short spurts and deep partnerships like I offer in my Gentle Business Starter Kit - as a fitting reflection of this strengths.

I “manifest” your business & website into the world. Not necessarily in a woo woo The Secret sort of way, but more in the “creating something bigger than the sum of it’s parts” way. To create something beautiful out of the raw materials, thoughts, and dreams involved.

If you’ve ever been curious what it’s like to work with a web designer (and especially a unique, not-your-typical-web-designer, combination HSP mentor and web designer like me), keep on reading for some interesting insights and fascinating tidbits…

A solution for gentle, sustainable visibility and growth

Lori had some fears and concerns about launching her website that many sensitive people often experience: fear of failure or rejection; fear of visibility and being seen; big dreams and desires for a website that could reflect her unique perspective and mission.

We gently worked together to hone in on the most impactful website pages for her to support her business in it’s current stages, while allowing for plenty of room to grow and expand at a pace that was sustainable for her life, responsibilities, preferences, and nervous system.

Something else that was important to both of us was a creating a beautiful, feminine, calm, and unique website experience - while also maintaining an easy-to-use backend framework so that Lori could add to and update her website on her own, without needing to hire any ongoing assistance unless she wanted to.

This is also a big reason why I recommend Squarespace to many small business owners who plan on updating their website on their own (or training a team member to do so). So beautiful, ethical, and simple.

I’m on a mission to help other sensitive women shine and finally feel safe being visible and truly seen online.
